I came across this article on Relevant Magazine’s website completely by accident. I started off reading a post on churchmarketingsucks.com and then another, then ended up clicking on a link, and bam! there it was. I’m a big believer in, and user of, social media, primarily Facebook and Twitter. I’ve made some great connections, reconnected with several old friends, and use social media as a very effective way to communicate. With that being said, there are also times that it’s a BIG distraction. I find myself checking to see who “liked” my status or looking to see if anyone “mentioned” me or “re-tweeted” my tweet. I can easily waste 30-minutes to an hour seeing what people think of me if I’m not careful.

I think it’s a great tool but can also be a huge time-waster.

I’d love for you to come back to this post and tell me what you think about social media. BTW, 2,383 people “liked” the original post.
